Hello,
Welcome to my site, Furlong Treasures or FLT for short. FLT is independently owned and operated as a small business in Terrace BC, Canada.
Just like many people, I had a pretty difficult year in 2020 and decided to start exploring my creative side as a hobby and therapeutic outlet.. little did I know that I would learn to fall in love with keeping busy (between crafting, working part time and daily life adventures) and using that creative outlet to make others happy along the way.
The name “Furlong” originated from a provincial park located just outside of Terrace along Lakelse Lake. As a migrant to Terrace (& BC in general) it was important to me that I find a name that integrates my new life and love for the north. I thought it was fitting as all the products are handmade and are designed to be items that you’ll have fur-long/forever (clever right?!). Feel free to take a look around and message me with any questions that you might have.
Our Mission
Small businesses supporting local and/or other small businesses while trying to limit waste and contribute to conservation within Canada.
At FLT we try to buy our bulk products from other small businesses or other businesses within Canada when we can. With the current state of the world we find this especially important during these times.
As someone that enjoys the outdoors it is our mission to help limit the amount of packaging waste we put into our landfills so that future generations can continue to enjoy it as well, that’s why all of our packaging will be biodegradable or recyclable- although it may be not as cute as typical small business packaging we think saving the environment is pretty cool. We will also be donating 5% of profits to conservation within Canada. You can find some links below if you are interested in learning more or making a separate donation to any of these organizations.
